Off-camera or off-stage commentary, also commonly known as Voice Over, is a production technique that can be used in radio, theatre, television production, filmmaking and other presentations.  The voice role is to be heard in the production; the face behind the voice is generally unseen.

Just as actors audition for parts in movies and the theatre, voice over artists often read from SCRIPTS to audition for many types of jobs.

Some voice over artists have their own home recording studio; while others prefer to record in a studio away from home such as this. 

Many Voice Over artists enjoy reading aloud for long periods of time, making them ideally suited for Audiobooks, Narrations and Corporate Presentations, etc.
